Regal Falcoln

I saw a regal falcon resting atop

The branches of an oak

Around him flying, diving and harassing crows

Protecting their nests.

This majestic bird stoic, fearless, unmoved

By the assaulting crows.

Suddenly this noble predator seemed to lean

Forward on his perch

Falling catching the cutting wind gliding

On powerful wings and

Without changing the direction of his deadly dive

He attacked one of the protected nests

His reward was immediate, without missing a beat of wings

His razer talons stole his prize,

Dinner
